Talent Acquisition and Learning Advisor
Location: London – Hybrid working (3 days per week in the central London office)
Contract type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week)
Reporting to: Head of People Operations
Salary: c.£40,000 per annum

About the role
This role is pivotal to our People Team, supporting the business with all Talent Acquisition needs and Learning and Development (L&D) activities. The best candidates will be passionate about supporting our people, whether that be through recruitment, L&D or HR projects.
You will be a key member of our People Team, working closely with the People Operations Advisor, helping us to champion our culture and employee experience. As such, you should have a passion for developing and implementing initiatives to improve the working environment and our employer brand.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, enthusiastic about collaborating with new and existing colleagues, and adaptable to working in a small team covering Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development, with the opportunity to work across all areas of HR.
About you
We’d be very excited to speak with you if you have:
• Demonstrable experience of delivering a range of generalist HR activities, including Talent Acquisition and People activities, within previous HR/People Advisor roles.
• Proven experience or a keen interest in Learning & Development.
• CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent relevant experience, demonstrating a good understanding of HR practice and employment legislation.
• Attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask, and ability to prioritise own workload.
• A positive, proactive approach, with experience in recommending solutions and improvements to key internal challenges.
• An understanding and proven experience of a strong customer service and trusted advisor / relationship building approach, including supporting external and internal candidates, managers at all levels of the business, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience of using HR systems and analysing data, e.g. HRIS, ATS, Learning Management Systems, Survey Tools.
• Good personal resilience with an ability to quickly problem solve.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to actively listen.
• A high level of personal integrity, with absolute discretion and sensitivity for the information they will have access to.
• Team player attitude, with an ability to work collaboratively with their wider colleagues.
• Desire to actively learn and develop, with a mature and professional approach to our supportive feedback culture.
• Desirable - experience of delivering discerning end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including consideration of:
-Use of direct sourcing, agencies, job boards and referrals to build talent pipelines.
-Using tools such as LinkedIn for direct sourcing of candidates, including knowledge of Boolean search techniques, talent pools and LinkedIn Recruiter.
About the responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
Talent Acquisition
• Support on the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and assisting with job offers.
• Utilise various channels, such as job boards, social media, and professional networks, to identify and attract qualified candidates for open positions.
• Lead on candidate contact, including screening, reviewing CVs and applications, conducting phone screenings, and assessing candidate qualifications.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for interviewers and candidates.
• Support on the development and implementation of employer branding initiatives to enable IMPOWER to continue to attract top talent.
• Proactively drive forward DEI initiatives as part of the overall talent acquisition process
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring adherence to GDPR.
• Create and maintain all interview materials with a focus on quality to support both managers and candidates.
• Supporting the onboarding process to enable a smooth transition from candidate to new starter.
• Assist in tracking and analysing recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead internal mobility activities, overseeing promotions and role changes through end-to-end processes including role advertisement, screening, interviews, and offer management.
• Partner with and manage relationships with external recruitment agencies as required.
Learning and Development
• Support the Assistant Director –Skills and Quality with all internal and external L&D activities, this includes scheduling courses, liaising with trainers, internal communication to promote courses, preparing materials, and delivering training (including in-person and online facilitation).
• Support the design and development of our training offer, drawing on best practice and innovative approaches to learning and development.
• Act as lead administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS) and other relevant systems. This includes maintaining accurate course information, employee data and files, and conducting regular audits to ensure information is up to date.
• Support the optimisation of our LMS to launch the self-serve calendar functionality, to promote L&D opportunities and track and monitor the completion of training.
• Assist with the design of evaluation processes including employee surveys to gather feedback and ensure high-quality training is delivered and feedback is effectively captured and acted upon.
• Support the annual rollout of compliance training, ensuring compliance across the business with our mandatory e-learning modules, assessing suitability and identifying gaps in content..
• Build our learning resource library to enable access to L&D on-demand and support our knowledge management methodology.
• Support with L&D monitoring and reporting arrangements, including ROI.
General
• Be the first point of contact for all Recruitment and L&D-related queries. Manage the relevant shared mailboxes and support the wider People Team queries as and when required.
• Work closely with and support the People Operations Advisor and Head of People Operations to deliver strategic People initiatives and activities.
• Support the business with data, expertise, insights and knowledge to develop DEI and Wellbeing initiatives.
• Support the wider People Team with ad-hoc work where required. For example, data management on our HRIS, EOY remuneration processes, onboarding and offboarding, company welcome days and working with our external IT provider.
